I have two stories I work on - the "main" story, which has been brewing in my head since middle school, set in Japan. Then, the "secondary" one, a more recent one that takes place in... The fantasy version of a celtic country?

My main story is one I intend to work on forever and ever, or, at least, until there's physically nothing more I can think of it. I want it, and the characters, to grow and evolve and age with me - so, effectively, this will serve as a sort of journal, as you'll be able to see what I was coping with, what I was focusing on, etc, in different eras of the story. I do need to rewrite it, so not all from my youth will be preserved, but I'll preserve as much as I can, even the bits I find weird or cringey.

My secondary story doesn't have the same deep purpose - it is just sort of there. However, I am also using it as a place to drop characters I had when I was younger, but have nowhere to put them. Characters I love deeply but never got to work much with get a new life here.
